The Power of Perspective: Will We Laugh About This One Day?

If there's one thing about me, I'M GOING TO LAUGH.

During the most appropriate times always...and during some inappropriate times and even challenging times. I really find humor in most situations. The challenging situations usually drum up a laugh post challenge, but still. It's amazing how our PERSPECTIVE can really help us through hard times.
There's a Bibie verse I love that reads: "and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25, NLT
To me, that translates to: no matter what, she (me) has nothing to be afraid of. I'm a woman who will overcome and triumph and I can laugh at what is to come because I will get through that too. It also means that laughing is so powerful, it will push my fears aside. I truly can't laugh and be afraid at the same time. I can actually choose to laugh.
Now hear me when I say, there are times I don't laugh. Experiencing trauma or abuse of any kind doesn't warrent laughter, period. I would choose laughter separate from that experience though. Reminiscing about a hilarious family gathering, sharing funny kid sayings with your mom friends and watching funny and mindless videos on social media could provide that laugh you need during these times.
To answere the title question of "will we laugh about this one day?" I would answer, YES.
When I have toddler poop on my hands, I scream first, then LAUGH.
When I have a huge event and can't sleep the night before because my child isn't feeling well, I give hugs, scream and then LAUGH.
When the bills are due and the contracts haven't paid yet and everyone wants their money, I cry a little, scream and then LAUGH.
When negotiating contracts with large organizations and they don't see the value in what I provide or my rates, I growl, then LAUGH.
No, it's not funny! It's all frustrating, but what am I going to do? Should I be pissy all day? Should I allow negativity to win? Should I take it out on my child and my team and my family? Nope. I choose to laugh. I choose to release that ish!! And also, when all that ish turns around, I really can laugh about it becasue the audacity that life has sometimes is WILD.
Laugh until it becomes a reality!
Love to all the Baby Mamas!
